FREE CE Events:
DoveLewis Grand Rounds All doctors and support staff in the community are invited to attend our 3rd Thursday Rounds (the 3rd Thursday of every month). Doctors and technicians who attend receive 1.5 units of CE credit for each meeting. Rounds cover all topics in veterinary medicine. Meetings are held at our NW location 1945 NW Pettygrove, Portland, OR, 97209 Community Room 6:30PM to 8:00PM. Upcoming topics. December 11, 2007 GDV Megan Brashear LVT, VTS(ECC) December 20, 2007 EKGs Will Rausch DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology) Space is limited. Other great sources of CE:
www.vetmedteam.com offers a huge variety of CE classes, some offering up to 20 hours of CE. However, many courses won't be offered again until 2008. Basic Principles of Emergency Response is being offered in December and is a two-week course offering 10 hours of CE for $80.00. The easiest way to check out the availible courses is to click on the "course catalog" link on the main page.
www.vspn.org always has plenty of CE classes to choose from.
Simply having a subscription to a veterinary medical journal or magazine will garner you one CE hour. Examples of magazines include: Vet Tech, NAVTA journal.
